We have been a loyal BMO customer for over twenty years!! We have Lines of credit, credit cards, RRSP and mortgage.

Recently we wanted to combine our line of credit with our mortgage (it was renewal time) we had to reapply for products we were previously approved for, line of credit less than one year ago. Not only did we have to reapply they wanted us to pay for a new appraisal on a house they appraised in October of last year!!! Just another way to get $300. Since starting this process last week I have been told three different and incorrect interest rates and when I dared complain about the unprofessional handling of my case I was told I probably did not hear what I stated I heard and I couldn't be right??!!

Now they have sent out application to the credit bureau after seeing a kudoo (aged and zero balance) and a visa (zero balance late payment) these issues were addressed last year but as I was advised had to be addressed again or the credit department would not process our application. This application is based soled on my husband's income as he makes a "good " income. We have NEVER missed a mortgage payment or been late in over TWENTY years but here I wait. I had advised the bank associate it was time sensitive to have application processed and was just advised it usually takes 24-48 hrs for credit department to review claims BUT if he doesn't hear from them tomorrow (48hrs later) he will keep me posted!!!

I have attempted to contact upper management, the bank manager has not returned my call since last Friday and all the numbers on google request you leave a message and they will contact us within two business days.

I pay minimum $30 a month in "bank admin fees" and they have made thousands from interest but I'm not important enough to have a call returned or speak to someone to help in this situation. Is there a bank that actually cares about good hard working people and willing to treat them like humans and not a number because I'm ready to find a new bank to give my money to!!!

Reason of review: Poor customer service.
