Twice now we opened an account and were informed there would be no service fee because we had other associated accounts. However, all of a sudden, three months later, $20 service fees start appearing.
They have been refunded but the explanation I got is that their software system requires a second code to be added and this wasn't done. Sounds very suspicious.
It appears as if their system is set to purposely "forget" to add the right codes and starts charging fees hoping customers don't notice or react. Then when I email, I don't get an answer for days because the bank is understaffed and she has to handle all customers who walk in.
Reviewer is in unhappy mood. Please immediately contact the author of this review to discuss poor customer service of bmo harris bank checking account. BMO Harris Bank needs to read this review and look into the issue (if any) according to poster's claims.
