BMO Harris Bank - Stop payment
Placed a stop payment order on November 12 2014, good until May 5 2015. Bank paid it anyway on November 17 and, basically , told me to get my money back--not their problem.
Four phone calls, four different answers. The supervisor was my last contact and that call lasted 45 minutes. He did agree to remove the charge for the stop payment, a moot point since they had already paid the amount, a considerable sum. The first three people were very very nice to talk with although they ,basically, gave me the wrong information.
I had made one error, the check number, which I could not know because it was done online. Still, all the other information was correct including the number of the stop payment order.
Reason of review: Poor customer service.
Monetary Loss: $3456.
Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.
